Challenge: Plenty of Income – No Wealth Plan

A professional couple juggling successful careers and two busy teenage daughters can never can carve out enough time to address their Wealth Management. As the years ticked by, the stress of not having a wealth plan builds.  

Their high income allowed for a gorgeous home, great schools and vacations. While they always maxed out their 401k’s and set up college savings accounts there was never a quarterback making the calls.

The Opportunity: Get Organized and Get a Strategy

They are natural delegators looking for a collaborator. Together, we tracked down and rolled over a few old 401k’s and other accounts they had collected over the years. We referred them to a lawyer to update wills and navigated deferred compensation packages. Soon, all the financial pieces were under one login and a net worth statement was built.

Education and perspectives led the conversation. Goals and risk tolerances were uncovered and considered. From there, a customized investment discipline was agreed upon and strategies were implemented.

The Outcome: A Clearer Path

Before working with us, there was no conductor at the helm of the engine pulling them into an empty-nest future. Personal time with their family was the priority – not portfolio construction and long term tax planning. Having the financial part of their lives organized was mission critical and our partnership with them accomplished this.
